About Ascend Law
Ascend Law is a Stockholm-based legal advisory firm working almost exclusively with companies headquartered outside Sweden.
We were built around a specific observation: international companies operating in Sweden are usually served either by large firms priced for transactions far bigger than theirs, or by administrative providers who file forms without advising on what the forms commit them to. There is a gap between the two, and it is where most foreign companies actually live — needing real legal judgment, on a predictable budget, from someone who answers the phone.
How we work
We tell you the answer, then the reasoning. Our clients are decision-makers who need to act, often in a meeting that starts in an hour. Advice that opens with three pages of background is not useful to them.
We quote before we start. Fixed fees where the scope allows, capped estimates where it does not. You should never be surprised by an invoice.
We say when it is not us. Some matters need a litigator, an auditor, a tax specialist or a firm with two hundred lawyers. We will say so and, where we can, introduce you.
We work in English. All advice, documents and meetings in English as standard, with Swedish where the counterparty or authority requires it.

The Ascendance group
Ascend Law is part of the Ascendance group, together with:
Corporate Service Sweden — company formation, branch registration, registered office, process agent and ongoing corporate administration for foreign companies, on fixed annual fees.
PPWR Sweden — packaging compliance under Regulation (EU) 2025/40, including scope assessment, Swedish EPR registration and appointment as authorised representative.
The division is deliberate: advisory work where judgment is needed, productised services where it is not. Both are staffed by the same people, so nothing is lost between them.

Oscar Widén Einarsson
Founder
Oscar founded Ascend Law after practising as a Senior Associate at an international law firm, where he advised on corporate and commercial matters for international clients. His practice covers M&A, commercial contracting, corporate governance and emerging areas including digital assets.
He holds qualifications in both law and biomedicine, and has practised across European and US contexts — a combination that shapes how he works with life sciences clients and with companies whose Swedish questions sit inside a larger cross-border picture.
